    Ingredients:
    375ml milk
    250gr macaroni
    250gr thinly sliced ham
    200gr grated matured cheese
    2 eggs
    50gr butter
    pepper/salt
    pinch of nutmeg

    At first, boil the macaroni, al dente, because it will also cook in the oven and you don’t want to have it overcooked. Put the oven on 180°C.

    When the macaroni is ready, drain it, put it back in the pan and add the 50 grams of butter, stir it and leave it to stand, until it can be added to the rest of the ingredients.

    Cut the ham in small pieces. If that is done, mix the MILK with the 2 EGGS, than add the CHEESE (leave a small hand of cheese aside for later on), the HAM and the MACARONI. Stir until mixed well. Add some pepper, salt and nutmeg.

    Pour the whole mixture in a buttered oven dish, top it with some grated, left over cheese, and put it in the oven.

    Cook it for 45 minutes until the top is golden brown.

    You can either serve it up immediately, it will be slightly “loose”, or eat it cold, it will be quite dense.
